Bill’s Lake 5 is an 8 acre lake which can be fished by a maximum of 6 anglers and opened for carp fishing in 2017. Located south of Reims in North East France, the lake had been unfished and unused for many years before being acquired by the current owner.
The original fish stock remains which are relatively unknown and new stock, 250 carp, sturgeon and grass carp, have been added ensuring that fishing can be pretty prolific at times!
There are four swims on Bill’s Lake 5, three of which are double and have cabins with picnic tables behind the swim. In the cabins you will also find USB and 12v car socket charging points.
The lake can easily be access all the way round and vehicles can be conveniently parked behind swims.
Each swim has been positioned to ensure there is plenty of water coverage to fish to. The average lake depth is around 12 feet but there are lots of underwater features to explore if you spend a bit of time with a marker rod.
The high density fish stocking makes this lake ideal for new comers to France as well as more experienced anglers looking for an action packed week.
Arrival time is 11am Friday morning and anglers are required to depart no later than 9am the following Friday.
The lake has been stocked with 250 carp, sturgeon and Grass Carp.
There are also cat fish to over 70lbs.
This lake is proving very popular now and the fish are gaining weight with a lake record now at nearly 60lbs.
The double swims all have a cabin and a picnic table for eating.
Toilets and hot showers are on site and open 24 hours a day. There are also charging points for boats, phones etc.
Bait can purchased on site along with a small selection of tackle. Bait boats can be hired for the week. Please check before your trip to ensure availability.
